A series of bomb attacks Smash Baghdad and Baquba, 59 Killed

A series of bomb attacks throughout Wednesday ( 01/15/2014 ) in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad and Baquba city in the north of the country killed at least 59 people and injured dozens more .

In Baghdad , six bomb attacks occurred in a residential area that is inhabited predominantly Shia and two other bombs exploded in a residential area with a mix of people from various groups .
A series of bomb attacks in Baghdad 's Shula district occurs in , where a car bomb exploded near a market , killing five people who are shopping and injured 12 others .

Other car bombs exploded in a commercial district of Karrada , killing four civilians and wounding 14 others . Police said in a statement .

Police added that three people were killed and eight others injured in a bomb attack on a market in Maamil area , the eastern city of Baghdad .

A series of bomb explosions occurred in the middle of a standoff between Iraqi army forces and Sunni militants who control the city of Falluja over the last two weeks .

Meanwhile , the Iraqi army lost more and more territory in Anbar province when Sunni fighters , including al-Qaeda affiliated group , seize two key areas when the police left their posts .

This condition marks a setback for Baghdad two days while working to reclaim the region very close to the capital of the hands of militants who persist in Fallujah and the Anbar capital of Ramadi .
