Obama: Sharon Dedicate His life for Israel

President of the United States ( U.S. ), Barack Obama sent condolences to former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon . Obama called Sharon as the man who dedicated his whole life for the sake of Israel .

 " On behalf of the American people , Michelle ( U.S. First Lady ) and my utter sorrow deeply for the family and the people of Israel , " said a statement issued by Obama , as quoted by Politico , on Sunday ( 01/12/2014 ) .

"The people of Israel lost a leader who dedicated his entire life for the sake of Israel , " said Obama .

Sharon passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2014 , after a coma since 2006 . He died after his health declined sharply in a few weeks back .

In a statement , Obama also reiterated Israel's commitment to maintaining security . Obama sent Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry to Sharon 's funeral .

Sharon's death raises the pros and cons in the international world . Western countries expressed sorrow , but the Arab states and the Palestinians actually rejoice . Arabs regard Sharon as a dictator who torment the Palestinians .
