Having previously declined to comment , the Government of China on Wednesday ( 02.26.2014 ) , in turn accused the fishermen and vessels to the Philippines just to provoke them in the waters of Scarborough Shoal .
It was announced by a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry , Hua Chunying , Philippines protested the incident after spraying against fishermen and fishing boats by Chinese coast guard vessel on 27 January. The Chinese government refused a written protest which also contains a request for confirmation of the Philippines.
According to Hua , China's coast guard suspected the existence and activities of Philippine ships , called simply "pacing " . They also called refused to react on China to come out of the water.
" Some people even show the movement as a fight . We strive restraint . Because some of the warning was ignored , we perform a minimum of effort without destroying or injuring the vessel and crew . We can not tolerate their behavior as pot calling the kettle , "said Hua .
