U.S. impose sanctions for 7 Officers and 17 Russian Company

The U.S. government , on Monday ( 04/28/2014 ) , impose sanctions on seven Russian officials and 17 companies associated with those close to President Vladimir Putin to punish what the U.S. as a provocative act in Ukraine .

" The U.S. government has taken further steps to respond to the illegal intervention of Russia in Ukraine and provocative actions that undermine democratic Ukraine , threatening the security , peace , stability , sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine , " a statement from the White House spokesman , Jay Carney .
Carney added that Russia did not do anything to execute an agreement reached in Geneva with Ukraine , EU and U.S. . Russia even designed to seat pro - Moscow separatist region in eastern Ukraine . " Russia 's involvement in the violence in eastern Ukraine no doubt , " said Carney .
The new sanctions following the previous steps that target people near Putin and a Russian bank . However , these sanctions do not specifically target key sectors of the Russian economy such as energy and mining .
White House confirms further sanctions will be imposed only the U.S. and its allies in Europe if Russia actually invaded Ukraine .
Russian companies are entering the new sanctions include Avia Group Limited , Severny Morsoy Bank , Bank InvestCapital , Transoil , Volga Resources Group , SMP Bank , Sobin Bank and Zest Leasing .
While individual sanctioned U.S. including Belavantsev Olga , who was appointed Putin as presidential envoy to the region of Crimea in March .
Another name on the list is the Director General of the U.S. sanctions Rostec , Sergei Chemezov . Rostec is a state in the development and export of high -tech commodities .
